Gasoline

WOW! South Carolina has the cheapest gas in the country, because we do not have a gas tax. In saying this I just paid $3.95 for a gallon of gas! The days are gone when you could buy 5 gallons of gas for $5.00. My children will never know...
Jacob informed me that Brazil is energy independent. Which means they do not depend upon OIL! They use a sugar based ethanol. Why couldn't we do something like this? It makes complete sense.......one word.....POLITICS!

Great day!

Wednesdays are our day off. So, today we went to Chipotle (for us), Sam Ash Music Store (for Jacob) and a great antique store (for me) in Charlotte, NC. The antique store owners are from Savannah, Georgia and they studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design. The reason why I am saying this is my family has lived in Savannah for more than 30 years. Including my Grandfather being stationed there and working at Saint Joseph's hospital as doctor. I am not from Savannah and have never lived there, just some of my immediate family. I should have asked the owners of the company if they knew my family but I didn't even think about it until I left. I also think about how small the world is when things happen like that! Anyways, this antique store was amazing. I guess it can be classified as an upscale antique store. We couldn't afford anything inside (example price $500.00 for one dinner plate) but it was just really neat to look! Well in saying all this, it was a really good day. I have posted some pics of Taylor in the car reading her book!

A couple of things

Well I have a couple of things to blog about.
1. I just got done reading "and the Shofar Blew" by Francine Rivers. Great book, I would recommend it. Its a powerful statement about the church in America today.
2. Taylor is cutting all four of her top teeth at the same time! I just though I saw one coming through and looked again and I can see all four of them. Pray for her! Its a good things we don't remember cutting teeth!
3. Taylor has a book called "my friend Jesus." She doesn't look at it too much but, we have pointed out "Jesus" and she will tell us where he is in the book. Along with the flowers "wowers" and bunnies "unnies." But she has also decided that the old lady in the book (this lady looks like she would be in her 80's) is her "Nana!" This is my mom her grandma. Which looks nothing like my mom or even my Nana, Taylors great grandmother! We never taught her this, she just picked it up on her own. It is so funny, Jacob and I say "Taylor who is this?" and she says "Nana." I got it on the video camera, so Nana can see it for herself!
4. We had a great conference this past weekend. Corey Russell was here and he brough the "word!"

"You're gonna miss this"

Today, I heard the Trace Adkins song "you're going to miss this." I cried! There's a line in the song that says "you're gonna miss this, you're gonna want this back."
If you haven't heard it, yet. Its basically a song about how fast the years go by and how fast your kids grow up....I was sitting here thinking about Taylor and how fast the last 14 months have been. Than, I was thinking about...me and how fast I became 26! Wow...! The song really makes you think and appreciate the time that you have with your family... If you haven't heard it, go to www.traceadkins.com and it comes on as soon as you go to the website.

I had to post this as well.. Taylor's first ponytail!

The Pool

Being from Florida, I am used to the pool being in my back yard! Also, I am used to it being opened all year around. Well, when we moved to Fort Mill, I soon found out the pool was only open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. WHAT! Well, in saying all that we are spending a whole heep of our free time in the pool this summer!
We just bought Taylor a float (note the picture) and she loves it! I plan on teaching her to swim hopefully this summer... Or having her PaPa come up and teach her. I will be posting many more pool pictures.. So, keep an eye out...

We took these pics in the middle of April. Taylor turned 1 on April 1st, so we wanted to get pics done for her 1st birthday.

Pictures

Well, I have contemplated putting our family pics on the blog and after thinking about it, I think it will be fine. I can always take them off, if I don't want them to be on here anymore. So, enjoy!
Well, I was doing a little thinking last night..about our blog name theferrellfamily3.blogspot.com. I used that name because theferrellfamily.blogspot.com was already taken. It has nothing to do with our family. When we have baby #2, I don't want he/she to be offended by the 3. So, I just wanted to let you all know that the 3 has nothing to do with our family size!

Well its been a couple of days since I have blogged. Everyday there is something new with our family. Taylor, actually threw her first fit today. She wanted to watch "Esther" (veggie tales) on the tv tonight and we told her that she couldn't. We try to keep it down to just the mornings. She got so upset and started walking around the room crying. I actually went and got the video camera so I have it on video. One day I will show her husband!
We finally bought Ta a front facing car seat. She loves it! Next, I will be blogging about the new car we bought her!
As far as Jacob and I we are doing well. Jacob is starting to work on his second CD album. It is in the very very beginning stages. So, pray for us! We actually just set up a music myspace www.myspace/jacobferrellmusic for Rooted and Grounded check it out. His trip to Iceland has been canceled. I secretly am happy because he would be over seas for 8 days. Thats a long time to be apart from each other! We will be heading to the Call DC in August. We are actually really excited to go and see what the Lord has for us there.
We are looking forward to having Corey Russell back at ZHOP next week. He came last year and rocked our world. So, pray and agree with us that the Holy Spirit will come again!

Misc

My mom came up for a week and I have to admit it has been wonderful! She cooks, cleans and even changes Ta's diaper! It is so nice to have family!
Today, we are celebrating my 26th birthday. It was on May 29 but Jacob was on a ministry trip to California. I am not sure what to expect but he has the whole day planned out....Well, I will let everyone know how it goes...
