Happy 1st Birthday Harper

Wednesday January 5th, was Harper's first birthday!
I'm not sure where the last year has gone.
We celebrated the day with a ton of errands, to get ready for his party on Friday. We also had lunch at Chick fila.
He didn't eat lunch but everyone else did!
The girls have had Chick Fila, maybe 3 times in their lives, so Kamy didn't even know what to think about a chicken nugget. I think she didn't really like it.
Anyways, we had Harps birthday yesterday. We celebrated it at 1:00pm and we actually had the party outside on the deck! The kids got to play on the swing set.
It was gorgeous out, 60s and sunny. We did a zoo themed party. Complete with games, snacks and chocolate covered frozen banana's for the "cake." They were yummy, a hit with the kids and parents. Harp, had a banana layered, yogurt cake. When your parents eat healthy, you do not get sugar on your first birthday! He loved it and did a classic "let me just dig my face in this." Our girls never did that. They were very picky at getting dirty. I guess that's the difference between boys and girls.
It was fun and he had fun!

What a day!
We actually had to cancel plans yesterday, because Kamy got a 24 hour bug.
It was very sad because we couldn't go to Christmas eve service and both her and Ta couldn't sing in the Christmas eve service!
This morning Jake had to worship lead the 9am service. So, we didn't put any presents out and didn't tell the kids it was Christmas. They woke up normal and we ate breakfast. Nana, got here and we pretended she was just hanging out!
When Jake was done, he called and headed home. My mom put the kids in the car and took them for a drive. Jake and I set up the million presents, literally. When we finished we called my mom. The kids came home and were shocked!
We yelled "Merry Christmas!"
Everyone was spoiled and it was a blast watching all of their faces.
Harp, enjoyed his first Christmas.

Ready, set, go!
This is a busy weekend for us and probably the entire world!
Today, we had a family day. We took the kids ice skating, made puppy chow, built a fire, watched a veggie tales "St Nick" and drank hot chocolate! It was so much fun.
Tonight, Jacob and I will wrap all the kids presents.
Tomorrow, Jake has 3 services to lead. He's already spraying something "organic" into his throat to keep him from losing his voice!
The girls, will sing at the 4pm service. They practiced on Wednesday night and Kamy just yelled, I mean sang Jesus the whole time!
Then Sunday, we have a morning service and than Christmas!
I can't wait for the kids to open up presents! Its getting really fun and exciting around here with Ta and Kamy. Harp's still a little young!

5 days until....Chrismas

How is it 5 days until Christmas?
Tonight, I dyed macaroni noodles red and green for a little project that the girls will do tomorrow! Remember those noodle wreaths? If you were ever 5 you made a noodle wreath!
It keep us occupied for all of 15 minutes!
It's not as cold outside as it has been the last two years. I think were suppose to get snow on Friday. So, maybe it will be a white Christmas.
The girls are singing on Saturday night at church. The childrens choir will be singing "The Virgin Mary had a baby boy." They're pretty excited!
Harp finally has his first bottom tooth!!! It popped in about a week ago! We've waited for 11 months...and finally he has one!
I really can't wait for Christmas this year, with the kids.
Our real tree is as dead as a door nail because the heat makes it dry in the house. So, I'm a little nervous to even turn the lights on, on the tree.
It's so hard to tell your kids that there isn't a Santa clause, when the world revolves around a fake figure. But we do! We've been telling them the story of St Nick and that mommy and daddy are the one that buy the presents. It might sound outrageous to some, but we just feel like we are suppose go be honest. We want our children to know what the true meaning is and not some fake figure that has nothing to do with Christmas. It's hard for them to understand. We actually found a veggie tales on the story of St Nick!
Well....we have a crazy busy next few days, all for 15 minutes of openin presents on Sunday!

Tradition

Tonight, we started a tradition with our kids.
Well, at least with the girls, Harper was sleeping!
We order chinese food. Our children have never had chinese food, ever. They didn't really like it!
We made 60 ginger snap cookies and hung the Christmas lights on the tree.
We built a fire in the fireplace.
Than we watch Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer on CBS!
They stayed up and watched it, ate ginger snap cookies and drank milk!
It was so much fun!

We got our tree today! It literally took us 30 minutes to find what we call, a perfect tree. I always tell myself before we go to find one, we must find it within 3 trees. It worked last year and it worked this year. It really makes for a great Christmas tree experience!
We are going to decorate it tomorrow night as a family, order some kind of food, watch the classic Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer, have fire in the fireplace and drink hot chocolate!
Makes me excited to make memories with our little family!

I am thankful for a healthy, christ following, loving family!

We are heading to Illinois tomorrow, along with the 1 million other people, for Thanksgiving!
The girls are super excited to visit Grandma and Grandpa. Jake and I are excited just to get away!
We celebrated Thanksgiving at our house on Friday. It was great. We cooked a 12lb turkey and have had left overs galore!
We soaked the turkey in apple juice and bourbon for 24 hours. We cooked it in a roaster with carrots, apples, celery and onion. Let me just say this, "it was the best turkey ever!"
On a side note, I can't believe after Thursday we start the Christmas season. Wow! And even a bigger wow, is Harper will be 1 January 5! WOW!!

I'm not positive how I let this much time go between updates, but I have!
We are all doing well.
I just got back yesterday from a family funeral. My great aunt Lucy aka Rodey passed away at 95! She was the last living sister of all of her immediately family. She ment so much to me and she was buried next to her husband, which is next to my dad.
Harper and I flew to South Carolina on Wednesday morning and returned Thursday evening. The girls stayed with Jake and they had a really good time.
Kamy, has decided that she will no longer wear diapers at night time. She is potty trained during the day and has been since the beginning of 2011. She's doing well with it.
Ta and I are having a date today. We are going to the coffee shop with her computer and dolls. She wants to listen to music on her computer and play with her dolls.
Harp, well he's finally sleeping through the night almost. He goes to bed from 6-7pm and sleeps until 4 or 5am. I feel like a new woman. He's starting to stand on his own. He's saying new words.
I just launched my photography business after 2 years of taking pictures professionally.

Week in review

Hello, November! I'm not sure how its November already.
We've been busy as usually. This weekend we took a small trip down to visit some friends in Wichita, KS. They have a 40 acre farm. Thats a dream for Jake and I. We want a farm, with milking cows, cows to eat, chickens, horses, etc. The girls loved it! They both gathered the eggs with out hesitation and played outside most of the time.
The girls are doing well. Taylor, is full force into reading. We have Bob Books and she is on the 8th out of 12th book. She's doing excellent. She's loving life, love's playing dolls, singing (everything), her church class, her friends, coloring and playing outside!
Kamdyn, I think has changed the most in the last 6 months. Her personality is really starting to shine. She also has Bob Books, but for the beginner. She loves them. I sit with her for 15 minutes and than Ta for 30 minutes every morning. Kamy, loves playing outside, pretending in her kitchen, following her sister, playing the piano, building puzzles and dreaming of ballet!
Harper, is doing well. He's crawling fast! No teeth yet, not even 1. He's doing well at sleeping. He wake 2 times a night, which is much better than before. He's pulling up on everything and even getting brave with holding on with one hand.

We took the kids to a Trunk or Treat tonight at a local church. This is the first time we have allowed the kids to dress up and go and get candy! It was fun and they had no idea what to expect. Of course, I have pictures! Ta, was a princess. Kamy, a ballerina. Harp, well a monkey kinda.

Busy weekend

We've been busy this past week and weekend.
Last week, we had something everyday, dr appointments, dance class, coop pickup...and on Friday we packed up and went to my moms.
Nanie flew to Missouri last week for a visit and we wanted to get in a little time with her. On Friday, we went to another pumpkin patch, outside Chillicothe, Mo. It was by far, the best patch I've ever been to. Jake and I had just as much fun as the kids did! I have many pictures. One event that stuck out from the pumpkin patch was the zip line. Both our girls did it. One side to the other just hanging onto the rope! I couldnt believe it!!! They also had this huge plastic slide, so much fun! Needless, to say the kids are so tired. Kamy, just fell asleep on my lap.
I got a good lesson in knitting! I'm so excited! Jake joked that everything in our house will be made of yarn! I'm also reading the book "A Well Trained Mind." Its our homeschooling book, classical. I'm so excited for it!

Fall

I can't believe it's fall! The weather and leaves are gorgeous!
We've done a few fall activities, so far. We've been to Dunn Cider Mill, for the amazing Apple Cider Donuts.
Last Friday, we took a visit out to Louisburg, KS for Louisburg Cider Mill. It was fun. They had a pumpkin patch, with rides and cider. The kids loved it! Of course, I have a ton of pics. Those will come later!
We're planning our 2nd annual Chili Cookoff in 2 weeks. We're so excited!
Tonight, we took family pictures! I'm so excited to see them.

The kids are doing well. Changing and growing. Harp pulled himself up on his crib to a stand. I knew it was coming but it's going too fast!
Ta loves ballet and Kamy can't wait to take ballet! I love these kids.

My nanie's coming on Monday. I'm super excited to see her!

Reflecting

Tonight I cried, reflecting on the past 10 years of my life.
People/families have come and gone. I've moved 4 times, 4 different homes and 3 different states. I got married, birthed 3 babies and i've had two pets (none at the moment). Planted a ministry. I said goodbye to my dad and father in law. And hello to a new father in law.
I'm currently 29 years old, will be 30 next year and I drive a honda odyssey van...A VAN. I have a 4 yr, 2 yr and 8 month old, all of them depend upon me all day long (thats not a complaint) I love it and wouldn't have it any other way!
I'm more in love with my husband and my babies, than ever.
The Lords kindness is near to this family.
Some day's I feel completely lost (nothing to do with salvation), others I feel in the right place at the right time!
My best friend lives way to far away. I can still call her my best friend because, I've never experienced a better friendship!
I love the east coast! I really miss the east coast but I know we are in the right place.
I look forward to the future, even if sometimes it seems like never.

Illinois

We spent the weekend in Illinois!
This was Harper's first trip home to see Jake's extended family.
Of course, the girls had a good time visiting Grandma's and Grandpa's! They also had an awesome time hanging out with cousins.
We (Jake and I) had a good time hanging out with family...and of course eating, a whole lot of food.
Back to the real world starting tomorrow!

Milestone

Harper, finally has reached this milestone....after rocking back and forth and scooting backwards for two month, he is now crawling forward! He started to pull his arms forward two days ago and now he has completely mastered it.
This is the 3rd child. I did not want to show him, because I knew we would open a whole new can of worms! Today, he played with the tv cords and my tin bin of Southern Livings!
It's only just begun!

We spent last week on our family vacation! We flew to Orlando, Florida.
In 2004, my dad bought into the Hilton Grand Vacation Club. So, we have a vacation any where an HGVC is or an RCI. Which is basically anywhere in the world, we just have to pay to get to it! So, we chose Orlando and will probably choose Orlando next year as well.
My mom came with us and we of course had to take the kids to Disney World. We spent the beginning part of the week, just hanging out by the pool and shopping! We had a huge jetted bath tube in our 3 bedroom, room and the girls just wanted to swim in there! The resort has activities for the kids and on Tuesday we painted jewelry boxes! They loved it! On Thursday, we woke up early and headed to Magic Kingdom. Our girls didn't really understand what we were doing but quickly understood when we got there.
My mom bought us the Cinderella's Table Breakfast. It was so much fun and the highlight of the day, if not the vacation!
We had breakfast in the Castle and got to meet all of the princess'. My girls love Sleeping Beauty! It was all you can eat sit down breakfast and each princess came around to your table. It was worth the money!
We stayed until 9:30pm. We watched the light parade and than headed back to the hotel. Our kids were so tired they didn't even make it home, without falling asleep.
We ate way to much junk food and way to much ice cream! Now we're detoxing! Vacation, was way to short and I am counting down until we go back.

Milestones

We've hit a few milestones this week.
1st Taylor is now officially reading! Yes, reading. She's not even 4 1/2 yet! We've been working with her on letter sounds etc etc this past year and I knew she was ready. So, we purchased Bob Books, which start out with beginning reading. We have the beginner reading books and with in two days she has read the first 3 all by herself! I am so proud. Teaching your child how to read is such a joy and an accomplishment.
2nd Kamdyn is not reading! Ha...She wants to be just like her sister so she's looking at the Bob Books as well. Were working on her letters, sounds and colors. She's doing well!
3rd Harper, is sitting up all on his own! Not crawling yet but he is scooting around the room, rolling and crawling army style backwards. I can't believe how fast time goes.
10 days until our vacation and I couldn't be more excited, mostly to have fun with the kids and to be with Jacob. His schedule is crazy, crazy and he is very busy right now. So, I can't wait to have him 24/7!

Summer, where have you gone?

Where in the world has the summer gone?
All I know is it has been hot here in KC. Its finally in the 80s again but for the last 3 weeks (record heat) has been right over top of us. Very dry, very dangerous heat over 100 degrees pushing 110 with the heat index. Its been hard to breath because when its so hot in a city, the ozone is really bad.
It was so hot this week 108 with out the heat index, I decided to bid on a hotel downtown with a pool. When Jake got home we packed a bag and took the kids to the hotel. After it cooled off we went and played in the pool. It was so much fun and it actually felt like we got away! Its so cold in the winter and than so hot in the summer, the wall of my house feel like they are caving in!
We are heading to Florida in 3 weeks. We're going to Orlando, for a week. My dad bought share's in Hilton about 10 years ago so, every odd year we have a "Free" week long vacation basically any where Hilton is. We decided on Orlando, because we want to take the kids to Disney. Of course, we are doing the princess breakfast! They have no idea that we are going to Disney, its a surprise and I can't wait to see their faces!
Everyone, is getting big!

Taylor, has started homeschooling again. The goal for this year before she turns 5 is for her to be reading on her own. She recognizes and can read some beginning words, but we want her to be able to read before 5. The age 4 is different from 3, 3 she just threw fits all the time, 4 she talks back and is very emotional! As I write, she is crying because she spilt some water..."oh Lord help me!"

Kamdyn, has grown about two inches since April! She is by far the most destructive child that we have. She breaks at least one thing everyday. Yesterday, she took a spoon from the drawer and hit the TV screen with it (flatscreen). Yes, it left marks! But,
her problem is that she is so stinking cute! She got a new guitar (Dora) loves to sing "Jesus Loves Me" on it and "Our Father"

Harper, well he's getting big. He's 7 months, as of yesterday! We just starting mixing Avocado in his millet. I'm making his food. I'm not positive why I didn't do this before. We've always done organic with the girls but hardly ever made it. He's such a good boy but such a horrible sleeper...I think he's starting to teeth.

Jake, is busy right now and will be up until the Onething conference. He is in charge of Marketing the Onething Conference.
We love Woods Chapel Church, I mean LOVE, where he leads worship!

Me, just trying to be a mom, wife and friend....I'm really enjoying the crazyness of this life right now. I was making dinner the other day, toy's were everywhere, Harp was in his jumpy seat just enjoying his sisters and I just stopped and looked around. Took it all in and thanked the Lord for the crazy, crazy moment! They're only little for a short time.....and I am starting to really enjoy it more! I really feel the Lords pleasure over our family right now!

Harper, turned 6 months on the 5th. I can't believe how fast this is going.... He also, had his first helping of homemade "super porridge"on the 7th, he loves it and has been eating it twice a day every sense. As far as sleeping, he seems to be doing better. Two naps during the day and going to bed at 7:30pm, not waking until 2 or 3am and than sleeping until 7am. I feel like there could be break through in his sleeping! Praise the Lord!
The girls are doing well. We are gearing up for a pretty exciting vacation in August. The girls have no idea that we are going to Disney World and doing the princess party thingie...They know were going to Orlando but thats it. We are totally keeping it a secret until we get to Orlando...
They both love their "church" class.
They both have stopped taking afternoon naps....the results are amazing, bed at 7pm and sleeping by 7:30pm. I can deal without naps if it means going to bed on time!
We are doing a little reading program sorta with the local library. I say sorta because we haven't signed up were just doing it!
They love the library, books, learning and reading!
I am reading a new book called "Personality Plus for Parents." So far so good! I'm learning a lot. Its helping me understand how to deal handle different personalities from my own, even if my children have my personality, how to bring out strengths and weaknesses in the girls. I would include Harp buts he's 6months!
My garden is doing well. I'm learning a whole lot about gardening and seeing the fruits of our labor. So far i've taken out the cucumber plants because of cucumber beetles. It made me sad but I wanted to get the beetles out of there!
I've had my first yellow crooked neck squash, a very large zucchini, a patty pan squash and beans. Some might think, thats all...but living in the midwest where its still cold in the spring...it takes a little while longer for things to grow.
I love organic gardening!
Jake is doing well. Today, is his 29th birthday! Next year, i'm throwing him a huge party!!!!! We are celebrating on Saturday.....
He loves his part time worship leader job at Woods Chapel Church. The pastor of the church is amazing and so is the church staff....we already feel like we've been there for years. We can't wait to see what is in our future!
Jake, is co running the conference this week at IHOP. Its the Fascinate Conference (its a teen conference). I'm going on Friday only because Kim Walker will be singing....and well Jake gets the privilage of ushering her and her husband around....Yep one on one! She is by far my favorite female singer right now.

The girls spent the last two days at their Nana's house. It's about an hour and a half away from KC. We needed to get projects done and somethings around the house done. So, my mom really wanted the girls to have a sleep over!
They went to the park, swimming and yesterday they celebrated the 4th at a block party type of thing. They both got their face painted, red, white and blue butterflies. They had such a blast and are fast asleep in their beds tonight! We missed them. I missed the yelling, running, toys, talking...I missed it! They are such a joy and I love the caious!
Harper, is 6 months old today. I can't believe how fast time is going. I'm excited to see how much he weights tomorrow at his 6 month check up. He loves his sisters. He's starting to interact with them more and more. He's starting to babble...la la, da da....he's such a sweet boy. He's a horrible sleeper but we're making it! He takes 2 naps, about 2 hrs and goes to bed from 8pm-12, and than pretty much wakes up every 2 hrs and gets up at 6am!
I just started reading a book called personality plus for parents. It's so informative! Basically, talks about every child carries a different personality and parents tend to mold children into the personality they want them to have and not what they were born with. It's interesting thinking that all children with the same mother and father can have very different personalities. Also, how to build up there strengths and weaknesses. I'm liking it and love learning about children especially my own.
I'll let you all know what our kids are at the end!

Jacob, got the job! He is now the part time worship pastor at a local church, in Lee's Summit. They have about 1500 members on the books. I am so proud of him.
We are still on full time staff at IHOP and he is still co-running the events department, which he loves.
This is a part time paid position which is great and this is what he is called to do "worship lead!"
I'm so proud of you, babe!!!

Summer, almost!
We've had such a crazy weather season. I can't even begin to explain how scary the noise of the tornado sound is. Growing up where tornado sirens are not even seen or heard of, its sounds like a nuclear bomb warning! I am ready to get past this.
Everyone is changing and doing well.
Jake had an awesome trip to Nicaragua. He has some amazing stories. One story, he stayed in a "hotel" in the mountains and the power went out. The hotel had back up generators but the generators did not run the air conditioning. So, needless to say he was sweating all night long, waking every 30 minutes. The story gets better, not only was there no air but there were termites all over the ceiling and termite eggs on the bedding. OH MY WORD! Him and the two other guys in the room slept with the light on because the termites were attracted to the light! I think I would have freaked out.....like freaked out! On a side note, he was really impacted when he visited the orphanage. They have nothing and are still happy! He had a great time.
The kids are getting big! Ta, is entering a new stage yet again. I classify this stage as the "pushing buttons" stage. She loves to ask questions and really loves to learn. We are working on sounding words out.
Kamdyn, well she changed over night. She's saying full blown sentences and asking questions. She watching everything Ta does. They are doing well, sharing a room, sometimes!
Harper, he's getting bigger. He's acting like he wants to crawl but not even close. He's doing better at sleeping, about 5 hours first and than another 5-6 hrs. He takes 2 long naps and 1 30min nap still.
Jake, has his final interview with Woods Chapel Church tomorrow. He's applied for the Worship Leaders job. It requires, Sunday mornings and a Thursday night practice. He would continue all his responsibilities with IHOP. We're super excited for him and this new journey.

Harper, is 5 months old today. Not sure where its gone, but its going!
He's such a good boy. Doing better at sleeping. He rolls over both ways and loves to sleep on his stomach. He loves to cuddle.
Taylor, had her very first ballet recital yesterday. She takes ballet with Forerunner Arts, they are apart of IHOP. They danced the story of the Exodus. Her class the 3-4 year olds were the locust and "let my people go, dancers." I have to say it was really really cute! She was so proud and she was in the front row as well! We gave her flowers and she had a cupcake after.
Kamdyn, well...she is into everything! She loves to wear her tap shoes around the house, all day everyday. She loves to talk and is starting to be more social. She will not stay in her big girl bed what so ever....I think we go in at least 10 times every night and tell her to get back in bed!
We planted another garden this year. So excited to see what we get! Last year it started off well, but I was so sick with Harper, I didn't even want to touch it, hear about it or look at it!
Jake, goes to Nicaragua for 5 days this month. I can't believe it is already here. We are super excited.
Jake also lead worship today at a local church. He applied for the part time worship position at the church.
They currently have 1500 members and 4 services,
2 traditional and 2 contemporary. He would still be at IHOP full time and would continue with his work schedule as normal, we would be attending this church on Sundays and he would have practice on Thursdays. So, nothing would change as far as IHOP goes! We are super excited and love the people at Woods Chapel Church.
Me, I'm doing well. Love being a mom of 3! Call me crazy but it is such a blessing. I remind myself daily that "Children are a reward, from the Lord." There's never a dull moment in our house, not even at rest time!

A story I do not want to forget.
Yesterday, Jake had work and meetings all day until 6pm.
We were totally out of food, not really but just needed to go grocery shopping desperately! So, around 10:30 we ventured out to Whole Foods. (we means, I had all 3 munchkins) it was raining when we got there so we decided to sit in the car until the rain stopped. So about 10 mins later, I could hear the tornado sirens going off. I rolled down the window and thought that is strange. I mean it was raining not storming! So, I decided to get the kids out of the car and go inside the store. On my iPhone it said Overland Park was under tornado warning! As soon as we walked in, the workers were commenting on the sirens...but no one thought that a real tornado might be headed for the store! 15 mins had passed and I figured we would grab a few things and go home right away. I called Jake and he couldn't believe it. So, were checkin out and the worker come on the intercom to say "everyone needs to head to the back of the store and get into the cooler." I rounded up my troop and we headed for the cooler. Once we got into the cooler a lady immediately grabbed Harper and wrapped him in a coat. I cuddled with the other two. Ta did great. Kamy cried and wanted to go home. People were scared and some were crying. After all the tornados around here it was a little scary. We quickly found out that they spotted a tornado a few blocks from the store. The workers at the store saw it out back! After about 20 mins they let us out of the cooler, only to return bc there was still rotation in the air! Stressful, yes and with 3 children that depend on me to keep them safe. We were going back in the cooler and at this point the phones were down. I tried to call Jake a few times and couldn't get through. Just as I tried again, I looked up and he was standing in front of me. He said nothing would keep me from getting to you to make sure you and the kids are ok! I love that man so much. After about 10 mins they released us.
What a scary time, I mostly worried about my kids. I love them so much. And yes, I did have flash backs of hurricane Charley and my dad laying on me in the bath tub!
But were fine. Last night I thank Jesus that I could tuck them in bed and kiss them!
It seems as though south KC missed it again, there wasso major damage to a town 50 miles east of here.

Things to remember,
Taylor, you are too big for words! You act like you're 16 with your hair and attitude. But, I love it. I love your kind heart. I love your smile. I love when you ask to watch a movie on daddy's "puter." You can write your name, spell your name, sound out words. You can sing Psalm 23, The Lords Prayer, John 3:16 and 1 Peter 3:12, completely all by yourself if asked! You love ballet class and are doing so well!
Kamdyn, I love your smile! You are such a easy going little tute. You love to say "tank you so mucch," "Yesh," and "I don't like this." you attended church class for the first time this past sunday. Mommy almost cried and hoped the pager would go off for us to come and get you, but it didn't! You always ask to sing the "our father." you love watching Toy Story but when you say it, it sounds like you are saying a bad word!
Harper, you are not a very good sleeper but you are such a happy baby. I love when you giggle. You have begun to play more. You like to grab at our face and make noises. Of course, your sisters want to help you with toys, kisses and hugs. You are sleeping in your own room, now. It still needs the girlyness of the room removed!

All three of you are such a joy. There is really never a dull moment in this house or even a moment to think about dullness!

Everyone is doing well.
Taylor, got her hair cut last week. She needed a new do for summer. She wanted a "cute little bob" that's what she calls it!
Kamdyn, did not get her hair cut. She is so little still and I'm honestly not ready for her to cute it at 2! Its starting to have curls at the bottom!
The girls are doing well sharing a room. I'm lying when I say that! I can barely get Kamdyn to stay in bed and Taylor always wants to talk to Kamy. I go in at least 5 times just to spank bottoms....! One day they will get it.
Harper, is not at all a wonderful sleeper! He will sleep 5 hrs at the most at night. I'm running on fumes right now.
But, he's growing and is still in the 75% in height and weight.
I can't believe I will be 29 on the 29Th this year. I'm making my 30 before 30 list! I will share just one of the 30 listed on my list "attend Kentucky Derby." That means I will be booking a trip to the Kentucky Derby for next year...
Jake, is doing well. A lot of changes for him. Can't say much about them yet, just excited for all the changes!
He has a trip to Nicaragua the first part of June. He is super excited and just can't wait to minister to the poor.
all in all we are doing well. Ill post some updated pics soon. We are getting new family pictures done in a few weeks!

Harp update

Harper, is in the crib for the first time tonight. So far so good! He's taken a few naps in it but, never at night!
I have to admit it still has pink sheets on the mattress but hey he doesn't know.
He's really starting to be more interactive. Playing and grabbing toys, smiling at his sisters and sitting up (kinda.)
He's so cute and such a sweet boy!
He love's tummy time.
He's sleeping pretty good. He take's 3-4 naps per day still. 2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. At night he sleeps about 4-6 hours and than wakes, eats and back 4-6 more hours.
We're so in love with this little boy!

Big night!

Tonight, is a big night in the Ferrell home! The girls are sharing the same room.
A few weeksago, we bought them big girl beds from IKEA. Twin beds, so Taylor is no longer in her toddler bed and Kamdyn is no longer in her crib!
They were so excited! They didn't do well at nap time, they just played the whole time! Bedtime was a little different because they were so tired.
We had to tell Kamdyn to get back in bed a few times. She would open the door and close he door, get up and come down stairs and run around the room. Ta wouldn't stop talkin to her "kamy get back in bed."
But finally, around 9 it all got quiet! I peeked in and they were both sleeping......
Side note they both look so tiny in their beds....
Now, I sit here thinking how grown up they are....and how time goes by so fast....!
Harper, is still sleeping in our room in the craddle, until we can switch the room over to a boy room.

Enjoy the pictures. They are from Easter. I love my mom's house and her tulips!

We started off Easter weekend with a trip to my mom's, which is about an 1 1/2 from our house.
Our 5 year anniversary was on that Friday. Yes, Good Friday! We went out to dinner.
On Saturday, my mom and I visited antique stores in the area, love it!
Sunday, we celebrated Resurrection sunday at her church. We also dedicated Harper!
After the service with an egg hunt and than went back to my mom's. The girls got baskets and Harper got a little toy for Easter.
Monday morning Jake, Harper and I left for Chicago for a little get away! It's about 6 hours from my mom's house.
The main reason for our trip was to visit IKEA and to celebrate our 5 year anniversary! We stayed in an awesome hotel and had an awesome dinner on Monday night. Tuesday, we spent all day at IKEA and than headed home that night.
It was a great weekend!

Happy 2nd birthday Kamdyn Ruth Ferrell aka Kamy Rue! I can't believe you are 2 years old.
NO ONE WAS SICK!
You are such a joy and a delight! You are so sweet but yet so spicy!
You currently can count to 5 and sing your ABC's not perfect but you can.
Today, we started off the day with singing happy birthday when you woke up. Followed the song with flowers, balloons and breakfast. I made chocolate chip coconut muffins. I worked on your cake and daddy hunted squirrels! Nana arrived with presents. She got your a Barbie car for you princess dolls and a princess doll. A soccer ball, so mommy can start teaching her girls some soccer and an elmo book. We ate lunch and than headed over to Deanna Rose Farm Stead. We visited all the animals! We came home and got ready for dinner. You opened your card from Nanie. You will use your birthday money for some kind of toy!
For dinner we had, hamburgers on the grill, squash and potato salad. It was so beautiful outside that we had to grill out and sit on our new outdoor furniture!
We followed dinner with your cake. You wanted a Super Why cake. If you watch PBS in the mornings than you know Super Why! It was chocolate with a peanut butter chocolate chip filling, I made it. You love peanut butter!
After cake you opened presents from mommy and daddy. You got a princess camera, cinderella and her horse, garden tools and a Thomas the Train. Taylor got a art center from nana and a princess camera and garden tools from mommy and daddy.
We played with your new toys for a while and than took a bath and quickly got you into bed. No nap so you were ready for bed!

Kamy, we love you so much. We pray that the Lord would give you eyes to see him and ears to hear him this next year!

Two years ago today, my dad went to be with Jesus. Exactly 6 months to the day from being diagnosed with lung cancer. Those 6 months went by so fast. If only we knew!
We planted 2 apple trees last year in honor of my dad. We used to sing a song together every night, when I was a little girl "don't sit under the apple tree." We danced to that song at my wedding and a cousin played it on the guitar at his funeral.
They are doing great, lots of leaves. One day there will be apples!
I miss him more than I can even explain or show.
But today, I prayed and thanked the Lord for the wonderful years we had together. For the wonderful woman I became because of him (and my mom.) For the kindness he showed others. For his sweet and tender spirit even when I was not so sweet and tender. For showing that a man has strengths and weaknesses and that is ok. For loving me well.
I prayed for Jacob that he would have wisdom and revelation on how to raise two sweet little girls in such a not so sweet world! That his relationship with them would be like none other.
So, I close this post thinking about my dad. And telling my blog readers to call your dad if you can. You only have one set of parents.....
Sometimes I wonder why God didn't set up a phone line so we could talk to our family in heaven, that would be perfect!

Taylor Renee Ferrell, happy 4th birthday!
Two day's ago Ta started with a tummy ache and all mom's know what that means, stomach bug.
We haven't been sick in about a year, not even head colds.
So yesterday, she ran a 102 fever all day and finally it broke.
Today, she was great and oh so excited for her birthday. We began the day with the table set with a happy birthday table cloth, flowers, pictures, balloons and her first gift from Grandma and Grandpa. She got a pillow pet (which she wanted), a book and Toy Story 3 on DVD. We allowed Kamdyn to open her presents from Grandma and Grandpa as well. She also got a pillow pet and a book.
We ate breakfast and watched Toy Story 3 of course. And than Kamdyn got sick and than Jake started to get sick, stomach sick!
We followed with Nana arriving with presents and more goodies! Ta got a jewelry making kit, bean bag toss game, baking cupcakes thing and a barbie car, not for her barbies but for her dolls! We followed with a quick lunch. We received a card from Nanie in the mail. Ta will go and pick out a gift with her money. She wants more dress up clothes, like she doesn't have enough! And than I made pizza for dinner. She wanted me to make it! It was probably by far the worst pizza I have ever made. Ta ate like two bits and I didn't eat much more than that. Nana, ate a few bites.
Kamdyn and daddy didn't eat....:( After we ate Ta opened her gifts from mommy and daddy, a Toy Story 3 puzzle and the Jessie doll from Toy Story 3. She wanted the Jessie doll...Its a cowgirl from Toy Story 3. We had her cake which was chocolate on chocolate with lollipops and dark chocolate candies all over it. She wanted a CandyLand Cake and I thought that would be perfect. Her other gift from mommy and daddy is coming up, when everyone is feeling better. She wants to ride in the Cinderella Carriage (with a horse) downtown Kansas City at the Plaza, with her princess dress on. We were going to do that today but everyone got sick. When you read this please pray "Lord please keep Lacy healthy and bring health to her family!"

Tonight when I tucked Ta into bed she was sleeping on her new pillow pet, sharing it with Jessie and she had her cupcakes baking in the "oven" her dresser! So cute.... I love that kid!
I can't believe Ta is 4....
Her sunday school teacher stopped us and told us what a dynamic little girl Ta is! Its true, she has such a great personality and she loves to show "love" to others. Taylor, I love you with all my heart!
PS im sitting here watching Jake and Kamdyn sleep together on the couch....it breaks my heart to see them not feeling well!

back to the grind

We've been on a "staycation" for the past 5 days. Which means we stayed home, worked on some projects and had fun as a family.

Our project for this "staycation" was to paint our sunroom, white. It is almost finished. The room is primed and half way painted. We use this room as our playroom. Its perfect! Its right off our kitchen and hearth room, so I can keep an eye on the girls at all time!

We started off this vacation on Wednesday, with a trip to the KC Zoo. It was fun! Taylor, was done in about 30 minutes. She would look at the animal for 2 mins and than want to move on to the next. Kamdyn, loved it except for the polar bear exhibit. She cried when she say the big huge bear swimming in the water! Harper, well he slept the whole time.

Thursday and Friday we stayed around the house and made a trip to Lowes and Chipotle.

On Saturday, we went to Jack Stack BBQ and than went bowling. It was so much fun bowling with the kids. We found a bowling alley just for families. Taylor, would pick up the ball and throw it as hard as she could down the lane and of course she didn't need help. Kamdyn, needed a little help and one time her ball got stuck half way down the lane. Jacob and I plan to bowl on our next date, because we are so competitive with each other!

On Sunday, we went to Disney's Toy Story 3 on ICE with our friends (the Martins) it was so much fun! Both the girls were really into it and of course Harper slept.

Everything is great at the Ferrell house!
We are currently on a stayvacation... Jake took off Wednesday-Sunday. We have a few projects lined up like paint the sunroom. We also have some fun around the town activities that we are doing. We went to the zoo on Wednesday. Taylor, loved it and was bored really fast with every animal...she was ready to move on and see a new one. Kamdyn, didn't know what to think. This is her second time to the zoo. After a few minutes she warmed up to the animals. At first she was scared of the polar bear exhibit. It was way to cute! Harper, well he slept the whole time...I'm sure if he could talk he would tell me how much fun he had.
Harper, is starting to coo and really smiles at everything! He is so cute....He is sleeping sorta well. He found his thumb a few days ago and than lost it again!
Taylor, is learning how to read
Kamdyn, can pick out the colors blue, red, yellow, orange, pink and purple! She's 23 months and according to the charts she's really only suppose to know one color by 36 months!
Jacob, had a good trip to LA last weekend. He is enjoying his few days off and relaxing as much as possible, when he's not doing house work!
I'm doing well. Adjusting to a mommy of three. It is overwhelming at times and I do loose my mind. I'm always praying for a sound mind! I can't believe Taylor will be 4 next Friday and than Kamdyn will be 2 on the 12th. Where does the time go? I also can't believe it will two years since my dad passed away. Its very crazy to think that I haven't talked to him for two years.
All and all we are well, thank you Lord!

Cabin Fever

All I have to say today is, my girls have cabin fever!
We had such a nice weekend and this am woke up to 2-4 inches of snow.
How can this be?
Looking forward to the beautiful weather this weekend, 70s!

In other news, Jake goes to LA (California) this weekend and we are going to my moms.
The following weekend we are taking a staycation!

We are taking the kids to see Toy Story 3 on ice, the zoo and a few other places around the area. We also have housing projects lined up...I love projects!

Kids are doing well. Everyone is growing. Harper, is starting to really smile and be a little more interactive. I just keep thinking next year he will just sit in the corner in awe of his sisters, because they are crazy!

April, will be a very busy month for us! We have Taylor's 4th birthday, Kamdyn's 2nd birthday, Harper will be 3 months, remembering my dad, our 5th anniversary, Easter....and Jake goes to Nashville, TN. My surprise anniversary trip is to IKEA right outside of Chicago! My husband is so awesome!

Wow! I can't believe it is almost March...how can this be?
My computer died so, I haven't been able to update our blog.
We're doing well.
Taylor, is doing well. She watched The Sound of Music for the first time tonight and loved it! She was glued the whole time to the movie. I think the singing kept her interest. She is still taking ballet and she loves it. She is learning the positions. She helped me make homemade applesauce the other day and loved it. She loves to play the game Candy Land. She has such a kind heart and is always wanting to help others!
Kamdyn, is doing well. She is learning to use the big girl potty! She wears big girl underwear during the day. On Wednesday, I took the kids to the grocery store and she didn't have an accident, came home and went on the potty! We did the potty dance and she got a treat! She just started to be a little rebellious when it came to naps and night time. After, a few days we nipped it in the bootie, she is so obedient and wants to listen!
Harper, well he is growing and growing! He feels so big to me. I can't believe he will be 2 months next week. He is really on a routine now. He sleeps really well, morning nap, mid nap and afternoon nap. He goes down to sleep about 8pm and sleeps about 5 hours and another 5 hours! He really is a good baby. The girls love him so much, Ta always wants to hold him and Kam always wants to kiss him.
Jacob, is doing well. Just traveling again. He is the perfect helpmate...and such a good dad! He takes the girls every Thursday on a date to the library.
Me, I'm doing well. just adjusting to life as a mom of 3. Its not difficult just a little more time consuming! Of course, my life is not my own anymore and I love it! I took all 3 to the grocery store. They did so well. Harp, slept in the moby wrap and the two girls helped me shop. Of course I bribed them with treats!

Happy belated V-Day!
On Friday night, Ta and daddy went to the Valentines day dance. This is the second year they have attended. Kamy, is still too young to attend. But, next year she will be going! They had such a good time......
Kamy and I stayed up and watched a movie.
Harper, is getting bigger. He is starting to smile! The picture of him is in the first outfit I bought for him. It has gators all over it and it says chomp chomp!!!
Today, I finally archived my old voicemails on my phone. I didn't want to listen to them because all of them were from my dad. Jake found a way to save them so, I could get the new IPhone 4 from Verizon! So, I heard my dads voice today....its been almost two years. I saved voicemails all the way back from when I was in labor with Taylor (April 1, 2007.)

I can't tell you how much this girl has grown in the past few months!
She is a new little girl. She will be 4 in April. How can I have a 4 year old? I have no idea. She loves to learn anything and everything.
Tonight, I was doing our usual bed time routine. I sing 4 songs to all the kids at bed time, "Don't sit under the apple tree," "Our Father," "The Garden" and "What friend we have in Jesus." She sang each some with me tonight. It was so special and I was shocked because she now knows the Lord's Prayer! Taylor you are such a joy!

Harper 1 month

Harper, turned 1 month on Feb 5th. We had his well check up today and he weighted in at a whopping 11 lbs 7 ozs and 22.5 inches long. He is in the 90% all the way around! So, that means he has gained 3 lbs and grown 1 inch in just a month. I knew he was getting bigger but, I didn't know how big. I guessed some where around 10 lbs but nope...I was 1 lbs and 7 ozs off.
He is doing well. He slept 5 hours straight last night and sleeps in 3-4 hr patterns during the day. He is a very easy baby!

More Snow

5. Jake shoveling the driveway..12 inches and no the picture is not blurry that is snow!

So, we've had more snow than we know what to do with. On Monday, we had a blizzard. Really...a blizzard, with 12 inches + of snow. It was blowing so hard and we have major snow drifts. Our deck has at least 2 feet of snow, from snow drifts.
We are doing well besides all the snow.
Harper, is one month old today. I can't believe it. He is sleeping well, about 4 hrs at a time. He loves to be held and he loves to cuddle. I love it! Its awesome having a little man, he is so precious!
His sisters love waking him up....really!
Taylor, started dance/ballet on again. We took Dec off because of Christmas. She is super excited. The ministry that we are apart of has a dance/ballet class for little girls. I love it because I do not have to worry about the atmosphere or the teachers that teach the class. Its awesome and Ta loves it!
Kamdyn, loves Harper. She say's "one more kiss....one more kiss." That means she wants to give Harper one more kiss, even if he is sleeping! She is currently getting her third eye tooth....ouch!
Jake, starts traveling again this month. He will be in L.A. and out side of Chicago. I just want to say, that he has been such a good help mate this last month. Our transition from 2-3 went really smooth!

She said "I love you, daddy" for the first time yesterday! It was so cute. I immediately started to tear up. She is at a cute stage and age, I could eat her up.
She's 21 1/2 months and I can't believe she will be 2 in April.
We started potty training when she was 18 months...and stopped only because she really wasn't ready and I wasn't ready either! So, a few weeks back we bought her a little potty (Ta is potty trained already even completely at night.) So, this potty is just for Kamy! She was so excited at first and has done both in the potty. But, now we have had a little set back, which is fine. We will press on!
She love's peanut butter and the movie Dumbo. She likes to read books and especially one book called "So many ways to praise Jesus."
She loves her brother. She loves to kiss him even when he is fast asleep!
She is such a joy!

Harper's First Bath....

We gave Harper his first bath in the kitchen sink two days ago. Yes, we waited a while but, between his cord and than the circumcision we had to wait. The girls helped but, I couldn't post those pictures because they were not clothed! He didn't cry...at all. He was relaxed the entire time.

Its been a few busy days since the last post. Let me begin with we are now starting a routine! Yesterday, was my first night with the kids and it went really smooth. I mean almost scary. I know it was just the grace and mercy of the Lord!

Both my mom and MIL have been such a big help. My mom came right after Harper was born and than my MIL came a few days after my mom left. Thank you to both of them!

Monday we took my MIL to the airport and when we left the airport, I reached around in the car to give something to the kids, pretty fast and as I did that I dislocated my right shoulder. OK...the closest thing to labor pain and yes I've had two out of three births with no pain medication. We rushed to the nearest emergency room. With three kids in the van, my husband ran in and said "my wife has dislocated her shoulder." We have three kids in the van and one is a 10 old newborn. Can you help her right now? They got me in immediately. Maybe because I was in so much pain....
After, 4 hours it was set back in place...(thanks to pain medication) and the pain medication wore off so quickly that it didn't effect feeding Harper. I am committed to feeding all the kids only breast milk and not pumping. My own OCD! My mom came back down and helped with the kids. For 3 days my right arm was immobile. Talk about very annoying! But anyway, its much better and I do not need surgery!

Harper, had his first doctors apt on Monday morning. He weighted in at 9lbs even and 22 inches. So, that means he gained 11ozs in 10 days and 1/2 inch....he is in the 95% in height. Not sure how...but he's tall. That of course could all change.
He is doing well and sleeping well. He is handsome and its weird looking at a little boy and thinking man he looks just like my husband!

The girls are doing well. We are currently snowed in with 7inches on the ground and freezing temps like 4 degrees. Yesterday, we made valentines day cards. Today, we played with dried beans...and muffin tins and baked and frosted valentines day cookies!

We are doing well. Adjusting everyday.
The boy is now 9 days old. I can't believe that it is going fast. Even though he was born a week ago, in the Jewish culture they consider him 8 days old 1 week after he was born. So, the day he is born = 1 day old. I know this only because we had him circumcised yesterday! Oh my heart hurt all day. But he was fine and slept and nursed a bunch. The cool part about that is we had a Jewish Rabbi, Rabbi Shron come to the house to do it. It was really cool. Jake is 1/8 Jewish which makes Harper 1/16 but, not practicing so the Rabbi couldn't perform a ceremony, but he could perform the other stuff. Another interesting fact, is that on the 8th day, if you do not get shots and opt out of the vitamin K shot at birth, vitamin K releases itself in the body on that day! Vitamin K helps in blood clotting. Of course, the Lord would have it perfected!
He sleeps like a champ and can sleep anywhere. He sleeps in 3 hour blocks, than feeds, wakes up for a while, diaper change and than back asleep. He can sleep with his sister screaming and playing! I love that...!

The girls are adjusting well. I think its actually harder on Taylor than it is on Kamdyn. They both want to hold and kiss him.
Taylor, loves playing with her dolls and dress up. She is excited to attend the Valentines day dance again this year with her daddy! That is something that my dad did with me and I will never forget it! Kamdyn, is still to young and will join them next year
Taylor, is starting to read. We are doing little exercises with her. So far, were learning the some easy but main words and sounding them out, for example: MAT, CAT, BAT, SAT. Those type of words. She is doing excellent!

Kamdyn, is doing well. She is learning new words everyday. She is starting to say sentences. "Daddy more milk." She loves the movie Dumbo...I mean loves it. She also loves to read books.....like gathers all the books to read and will sit and listen. This is random but she loves peanut butter on anything and everything! She's already into the "2's"....."NO". So, you know how that goes!

Jake, is doing well. He is praying about a new album. He has an amazing producer lined up. Were just praying about the investment and the money it takes to make a new album. He currently has an album out called "Rooted and Grounded." The cool part about that album is the studio he used is the same studio John Mark McMillian used and John Mark wrote the song "How he loves us." Were just waiting on the timing. Hopefully, if the money comes, he can begin working on it in the Spring.

Me, I'm doing well. I feel like this has been an easy adjustment for us. It was harder to go from 1 to 2 than it has been going from 3 to 4. I loved having a home birth. It was just amazing...and being at home is amazing. I can't wait now to get back into a routine!

I am currently sitting on the couch alone...well with the boy but he's sleeping! Jake, took the girls over to his buddy's house to watch the Chiefs game and so they could play with his buddy's 2 toddlers...Owen and Maci!
Our transition into a 5 person family has actually gone pretty smooth. We both had a harder time with going from 1 child to 2. I'm not sure if I'm speaking too soon but, I know everyone will survive.
My mom and Jake have been a tremendous help! I stayed upstairs for the first 3 days, which got antsy but it was so good for me to really rest and bond with Harper.
Ta and Kamy love Harper. Ta alway's wants to hold him and Kamy alway's wants to kiss and hug him. We tried to get Kamy to say "Harper" and "Brother" before he was born but, she wouldn't. She ended up saying it for the first time when she saw him.
Harper, is doing really well. He can pretty much sleep through anything...I mean anything but, I guess thats how the 3rd child survives with 2 older siblings...screaming, talking, crying, holding, touching, kissing...etc etc all day long! He's a champ and oh so precious and handsome. Right now he has dark hair, dark blue eyes (those might change) darker skin..and we think he will be tall because he was 21.5 inches long. Jake's dad was 21.5 inches at birth and was 6'3. The height skips a generation.
I have posted a few pics of the girls and nana meeting there brother. The girls stayed at nana's house all day Wed, Wed night and came home Thurs afternoon to meet Harper. They made Harper a build-a-bear a few weeks back and gave it to him when they met him for the first time and Harper gave the girls pink balloons and princess chocolate! They also made T-shirts before he was born that said "big sister 1" and "big sister 2" and wore them on Thursday!

Harper Caid Ferrell, was born January 5th, 2011 at 3:01pm. He weighed 8lbs 5ozs and was 21.5 inches long.
On Tuesday January 4th, I started having small contractions...every 10 minutes or so. Nothing to worry about and I wasn't stopping in my tracks. They slowly faded Tuesday night. Wednesday morning, 3:30am I woke up with some heavy contractions. I allowed Jake to sleep and went downstairs. I emptied the dishwasher, got the girls clothes ready for my moms house, cleaned the floor and laid on the couch. I fell asleep and woke up at 5:30am with heavier contractions. I woke Jake up and we started timing them and they were 5-10mins apart. We called my mom at 6:30am and told her to come and pick the girls up...at around 8:30am. Called Debbie Perry our midwife and told her to come around 9am...just to check to see where we were at. The girls woke up at 7:30 and we fed them breakfast and got them dressed. My mom came and got the girls...and took them to her house for the night and Debbie arrived around 9-9:30am. My contractions eased when she arrived so, we ended up talking until 11:30am. She decided to check me anyways because she needed to go back to the birthing center. When she checked I was 4cm dilated. So, she left and Jake needed to go to Lowes to get a part for the birthing tub hose and he wanted to get us Jack Stack for lunch. I put on Brian and Jenn Johnson's worship and I decided to get into our bath tub to relax....he was gone for 30 mins and within the 30 mins my contractions picked back up and were 3-5mins apart. I didn't even want to eat the Jack Stack when he got back. He called Debbie, who couldn't come but she had a back up in plan...Amber (who is amazing.) Amber arrived at 12:30pm checked me and I was 9cm dilated. So within the hour that Debbie left, I went from a 4-9cm. We filled the birthing tub and it was so relaxing. My contractions were actually light, easy and we were talking in between them, up until the last 20 minutes when he was crowning. I felt so comfortable in my own space, in our room and at home. We prayed for the Holy Spirit to come along with the midwives...
Jake was amazing...he caught Harper right out of the water and handed him to me. He was born at 3:01pm. Jake weeped, cried and weeped!
It was such a smooth and really actually easy labor.
We are excited that Harper has arrived.....! I will post more later......time for bed!

No, Harper is not here yet!
I actually have a lot of grace on this pregnancy. Our birthing tub got blown up yesterday and its just hanging out in our room. I told my OCD self that it will be OK sitting in the middle of the room....not for a week but, maybe for a few days!
My sleep schedule is slowly fading...I am currently up at 5am and eating left over chicken, veggie, yellow curry that I made for dinner last night.....its delish and yes call me pregnant for eating it at 5am! I have been so hungry the last few weeks....I never felt this way with the girls, maybe its a man child thing!
Well we will keep you posted....!

2010 has been wonderful! We actually had a really uneventful year. We did celebrate and announce our first son and we are currently awaiting his arrival. I will be 40 weeks tomorrow on New Years Day. We will just have to wait and see. I'm not anxious or to the point where he has to come or else! I actually feel grace with this baby. With the first there is nothing else but waiting on the baby. With the second, we were occupied with being in Florida and now this time is just occupied with 2 other little girls and everything else.
We are looking forward to 2011. Jacob will be traveling once a month with Onething Regionals. He loves it.
We will celebrate 5 years of marriage in April.
Ta will be 4....in April. Wow, I can't believe it.
Kam will be 2....in April and I can't believe that either.
We are looking at a vacation in April, either to New England or to California. Haven't chosen the place yet...but we're excited.
Also, Onething has a tentative Alaska conference in June. If they do, Harper and I will tag along...and than we will spend a few days after site seeing. The girls will stay with my mom.
And of course we will welcome our first son Harper Caid sometime soon!

We bought the girls TOMS pink glitter shoes for Christmas and they opened them on Christmas Eve so they could wear them to church. If your not familiar with TOMS...just check them out at www.TOMS.com. They are trendy shoes and expensive but, when you purchase a pair of shoes they make another pair for someone in another country. Someone who doesn't have shoes....So, its really worth it!

I can't believe Christmas is coming to a close! What a day....and so much fun with the kids. We told Ta last night to come and wake us up in the morning and tell us it was time to open up presents. So, at 7:30am she walks into our room! We made her crawl into bed with us, until Kamy woke up and to just get a few more minutes of sleep.
We finally got up at 8. The girls opened there stockings and than they were starving so, they had breakfast. And by 9am all of the presents were opened! Jake and I put "Frosty the snow man" on for the girls to watch....got a cup of coffee and began opening our presents. We ate a huge brunch....and than the kids took a nap. Nana, came with gifts and we had a 2nd Christmas! Needless to say the girls had more presents than they knew what to do with and more princess stuff than Target!
Jake cooked dinner....which was kinda a first. I just didn't want to feel the pressure of a huge dinner at 39 weeks pregnant. I cooked Thanksgiving and forgot a few main ingredients! I did however make the cheesecake....it came from Southern Living Mag...it was amazing... Jake did an awesome job....I mean quality and classy!
Now, were in the waiting game...for baby Harper to arrive. I'm excited to not be pregnant for a long long time!
On a side note.....a little exert from today, while opening presents, Taylor really wanted the full set of Disney Princess dolls from Target. They have the look of a Barbie but are princesses. We opened all of our presents and had Ta open this present last...when she opened it...she said "thats what I'm talking about" over again. Pretty priceless if you ask me (thats what video cameras are for!)

As I blog, it is snowing outside. Were suppose to get a dusting to 1 inch. Last year at this time, we already had some where between 5 inches on the ground and it was still coming down hard. It was the largest snow fall in like 50 year for KC on Christmas eve and Christmas day.
I absolutely love Christmas in KC. It is beautiful. The Plaza is beautiful, Overland Park, Ward Parkway....wow, just so classy at Christmas!
I am 39 weeks pregnant and we are just in the waiting game now. Not really sure if he will come early or late. Were ready and getting excited!
Christmas is all ready, presents are wrapped, brunch and dinner planned. Jake will be doing the cooking this year. He is super excited and I am actually surprised that I am allowing him to take full control of the food. Sometime, I have a control issue! I will be making the dessert though...Its from my all time favorite magazine "Southern Living." I'm super bumped!
Tonight, we will take the kids to a giant puppet show at a church. They are telling the story of Jesus with puppets after that we will attend the FCF Christmas service. I love Christmas eve services. I've grown up going and just absolutely love the songs and the time to celebrate Jesus' birth. I hope everyone has a great day....

38 weeks and Christmas!

I am 38 weeks today...I still can't get over how fast this is going. We are all getting excited to meet our son and brother "Harper." I'm excited to have this baby at home....to crawl into my bed after and have my mom take the girls! I'm excited to have Debbie Perry as my midwife....she is an amazing Godly woman, who's been doing this for decades! I'm excited for them to meet him when he is born and for them to give him the bear we made at "Build a Bear." Exciting times in the Ferrell home!

We started Christmas week off with Friday night Christmas lights...we drove around and looked at Christmas lights. Saturday, we took the girls to see the Nutcracker for the 2nd year in a row. We are actually looking into getting Ta,now that she is 3 into the Kansas City Ballet. She takes ballet now, but she seems really interested and this would give her the chance to dance in the Nutcracker. Kam, wasn't as cooperative this year as last. But it worked and she will be better next year. Jake and Harper will stay home! Thank you Nana, for a wonderful night! Today, we baked sugar cookies again. This time we did it all as a family...Jake, Ta, Kam and myself. We will ice the cookies tomorrow. We have something planned for each day...I love Christmas! Friday, we will bake our "Happy Birthday Jesus" cake and attend Forerunner's Christmas Eve Service!

December 17, marks a remarkable woman's birthday...my Nanie! When I was growing up, we always spelt it Nana...but now she refers to herself as Nanie, because my mom refers to herself as Nana!

I won't tell your age I promise.....

I grew up with in 2 miles of my Nanie. So, needless to say we have memories, memories and many, many stories! We had so much fun...going to the beach, riding bikes, playing school (Mrs Blackbottom), doing hair, swimming, watching Topper and just hanging out!

She taught me how to drive at 14, which when your 14....you think thats awesome, my parents did not...but I did!

She is a Godly woman, who loves Jesus and taught me even when I was young to always "Pray for a parking space" and I do...every time I go some where...the mall, grocery store, etc etc....I pray for a good space and it really works, every time! It taught me early on that Jesus really does care even in the small things and he does say be in prayer always!

Nana or Nanie, I love you and you mean the world to me....Happy Birthday. Thank you for all the wonderful years and years to come....! I hope your day is filled with Joy and Love.....That the Lord would shine his face on you tomorrow....!

Jacob, Taylor and I took a ministry trip to Wilmington, Ohio back in September 2008. We randomly met through Myspace....Robyn and Larry Morris who through blood, sweat, tears and finances, have started the WHOP (Wilmington House of Prayer.) They invited us to come for a conference. Jake preached and lead worship. We weren't really sure why we went but we felt connect instantly and knew the Lord was doing something in Wilmington and with our friendship.
At the time they didn't have a building, they were sharing space with a church and praying for a place.
Within the past two years, they have 11 churches in the area that support the house of pray and now have a building that is open and people are praying/worshiping 24/7.

We stayed in touch and this past September 2010, Robyn and Larry came to Kansas City for a visit. They were able to stay with us and we reconnected.....and just felt like we didn't miss a beat!

Anyways.......long story short...Just want the show, conservative or liberal. I cried, felt the Holy Spirit and cried a little more.....!

Our first snow happened last night...I didn't think it would stick but, it did. About an inch was on the ground this am when we woke up! The kids were so excited to go and play...it took about 30 mins to get dressed and about 30 mins outside...until they were freezing!

Big Sisters

We took Taylor and Kamdyn to the Build a Bear Workshop today in the mall. I wanted them to make a bear for their baby brother Harper. We let them choose everything, bear, clothing, shoes, name etc...etc...and they both gave it a heart. If you have ever done a build a bear than you know what I'm talking about! They actually did a really good job working together on it. Its a cream bear with a t-shirt that say's "Its a boy." They picked out "boy" skinny jeans and black converse shoes! He's already styling.... We named him "blue bear." So, when Harper arrives they can give him this bear.
We also made T-shirts last week that say "big sister 1" and "big sister 2" on them. We still have to put our hand prints on the back. Hopefully, we will get to that this week! When Harper is born they can wear the t-shirts.
We have to know find two little presents from Harper to his sisters!
I can't believe I am 37 weeks. I am currently considered full term and that means we can now deliver at home with Debbie (our amazing midwife). We had a home birth planned with Kamdyn but, most of you know the story. So, we didn't get to do our home birth but, instead we had her at a birthing center in Cape Coral, Florida. Which was amazing, beautiful and did I say amazing! Taylor, was born in the hospital and it wasn't bad but it felt so dirty and just not what we wanted. So, needless to say I am so excited to have Harper at home and to not have to go any where but here, no bags to pack...nothing!
We are pretty much ready for Christmas. Jake will be out of town tomorrow but, not over night...just in case!
Sunday, the former leader of the Assembly of God church will be at IHOP. They are holding a 12 hour prayer meeting for the poor. He will be busy with over seeing the 6pm-12pm. The following Saturday we are headed to the Nutcracker again. Last year, Taylor sat completely still for 2 hours and she still talks about going. I wonder what Kamdyn will do?!?

I just realized, that the whole month of November will be slipping by, if I do not blog tonight! What a busy and fast month. We had fall parties, Jake was gone every weekend except for Thanksgiving weekend and of course Thanksgiving.
We celebrated Thanksgiving at our house this year. It was the first and oh so much fun cooking all of the items....I did do one stupid thing....with this preggo brain...I think it just gets worse with the amount of pregnancies! I was so excited to try out a new cheesecake recipe, cranberry cheesecake. I found it on Pioneer Woman, so I knew it would be good! Well, after I put it in the oven, I started to take a picture because I was so proud.....and totally remembered I forgot to put 3 eggs in the pie! Yes, 3 whole eggs...needless to say the pie was OK, it did have a thousand cracks.
We are doing well as a family. I am now 35 1/2 weeks pregnant. I can't believe that in a week and a half I will be full term!
We made "big sister" t-shirts, so when Harper arrives the girls can sport there homemade shirts.
We already got our Christmas tree and have completely finished shopping for the girls! They will be so surprised at Christmas, we can't wait. It was so much fun shopping for them with Jake. I know he kept thinking that next year there will be some boy toys in this cart!
I have a baby shower on Saturday and than after that, we are going to Illinois. Jake will be preaching at his grandma's church on Sunday. He also wants to take the girls to "Candy Cane Lane" a place that he would go to when he was little. Its full of lights and fun things. And of course we will be celebrating Christmas with the grandparents!

30 weeks preggo, with #3

I can't believe I am 30 weeks already!
I've posted a picture. My choice of clothes at this moment are long trendy shirts from Forever21 with leggings. I am so happy leggings are back in style because they are so comfortable. I dislike with a capital "D" pregnant pants...with those panels! I'm having more and more braxton hicks contractions, but I completely expect to be 1 week late. My official due date is 1/1/11.

All is well with the Ferrell household!
Everyone is healthy and happy.
Jake is out of town and returns this evening from Auburn, Alabama. He preached the word at The University of Auburn on Friday and Saturday. Next weekend he is headed to his home town. We were suppose to be going for his 10 year reunion but that has been canceled due to the lack of response! He did graduate with a class of I think 60people. Small I know, since I graduated with a class of 400! He will be preaching at a House Of Prayer on Saturday and a church on Sunday. I keep him pumped with vitamin C!
The girls are doing well! Getting big....Taylor, is 3 1/2 and is as smart (brain) as ever. I just started reading a new book called "Shepherding a child's heart." It is so good and I would highly recommend it for parents! Its about shepherding the heart of a child correctly and not just disciplining because of the child's actions. The heart is the wellspring of life!
She loves everything princess. She loves her ballet class....its every Saturday from 8:45-9:30am. Her class paints a prophetic picture for the first few minutes, than they dance to christian songs and learn new ballet moves. She loves it!
Kamdyn....is now 1 1/5. I'm not sure where the time is going but its moving fast! She is a little Missie. She loves getting into things, not listening and saying "NO." Her vocabulary is unbelievable. She has at least 30 words that are clear in pronunciation, that's what happens when you have a older sister who is a communicator! She has started potty training herself....yes really! She tells me when, but we haven't gotten the going on the potty down yet.
We are going to the apple farm this week to pick apples, so I will have new pictures!
As for me, I am doing well. I am now 28 weeks preggo with Harper. I can't believe how fast this is going! Between my mom and I, Harper has so many clothes. I just buy them when there on sale or clearance, hang them in the closet and say nothing to Jake! Just kidding, I just wait to tell him....for a few days. He opened Harper's closet and said "babe, I didn't know you had all of these clothes for him already!" Yep....but girls clothes are way cuter!
Well, thats about it! I will post pictures this week.

25 1/2 weeks and counting

We are 25 weeks and counting until Harper makes his entrance! I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. The girls love blowing and kissing on my belly. I know they will make great little mommies!
I've started to home school Taylor, a few days a week. She's 3 1/2 but her brain is like a sponge! A good friend of ours mentioned to us a few months back at how advanced she is compared to the other kids in her Children Equipping Class/Sunday School Class. I want to keep her interest and hoping she will read by 4 or 4 1/2.
Kamdyn, is right behind her. It helps to have an older sister and of course Kam has to compete with Ta! Kam, actually said to me today at the library "no thank you!" I asked her if she wanted to pick out books and that was her answer. Now, Taylor says "no thank you" when she doesn't want something but, I had no idea that Kam was picking up on that.
Jake, is doing well. He will be out of town quite a bit these next few months. He will be traveling to Texas, Alabama, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, Connecticut and Illinois..wow...thats all in October and November! Of course, December and January he will not be traveling!
All in all were doing well!!!

Honoring my dad!

I am thinking of my dad today. He would have been 68! He was born September 2 1942, almost exactly 9 months after Pearl Harbor...yes, his dad was in the military! He was 39 years old when I was born and he robbed the craddle when he married my mom, which was 12 years younger. He has a son who is now 44.
Anyways...I just wanted to say how much I love him and miss him. I think about him daily! He touched a lot of lives in more ways then I will ever know. He loved baseball and was the best short stop I know...he loved the state of South Carolina, called it "God's Country!" He loved his family and he loved his work family (Sunrise.) He loved Jesus and followed him with his heart. If you were privilaged to know him you knew a good man....! I love you, miss you and think of you all the time. Happy Birthday!

The Girls!
We spent this past weekend in St Louis. I bought Jake tickets to the Cubs vs Cards game for Friday night. He took his step brother who lives in STL. The following day we went to the Zoo and the Arch. For lunch, we found a sub shop (thank you GPS) in the Hill, which is strictly Italian!! The sub shop was voted best sub place in STL and we just happened to come across it. Needless to say, it was amazing! After the kids nap, we went shopping at the Galleria mall, which happened to be right across the street from our hotel! On Sunday, we made our way to see Jake's mom which is a 2 hour drive from STL. She is doing really well and is feeling really well.
The girls did so well in the hotel. We made sure we found a suite which has technically two different rooms. They stayed in the same room and did fine! All in all it was a great weekend, sad to see it end, but happy to be home and sleeping in our own beds. Were looking forward to trips in the future, none planned yet but we want to visit some surrounding cities! I've posted some pictures of the Zoo, it was Kam's first time and Ta's 3rd time.

We are all doing well, just trying to survive this hot, hot summer! Florida, never felt this hot to me. We've been over 100 degrees for about a month now.
Anyways, the girls are doing well. Taylor, just got her first real big girl hair cut. She went to EJ Bain, which is the place were we get our hair cut. They shampooed, cut and blow dried her hair. She was such a big girl and of course I saved a lock of hair. It was sad!
Kamdyn, is as cute as ever! She loves to talk and say "Cheese" and "Key's" usually with a huge smile! Not as well as I write them but its really cute. She also loves to point to her nose. Did I mention she is 16 months, where does the time go?
My belly is growing and Harper is getting bigger. My official due date is 1/1/11! Crazy...I know.
We are taking a mini vacation this weekend to St. Louis. We can't wait! I bought Jacob tickets to the Cubs vs Cardinals game for Friday night. He's a Cubs fan. On Saturday, we are spending the day at the Arch, Zoo and shopping. Sunday, were going to visit Jakes mom. Side note, she is now home from the hospital, doing and feeling really well. So, we are excited to get away!

We are having a BOY! My husband is so excited...I mean he loves and adores Taylor and Kamdyn but to think he has to shell out money for weddings...he knew how much my dad paid for our wedding...
His name is Harper Caid Ferrell. I had a dream, a few months back and I presented a boy named Harper Caid. Caid is my husband middle name and we just love it. Harper of course means Harpist. So the full name means "well rounded harpist." Were super excited.
I forgot that Jacob had a dream before he knew me. In the dream he had 3 children and they presented themselves to him. There were 2 girls and 1 boy. The boy was the youngest! Again were super excited and we have nothing boy!! So, it will be exciting to shop for a little boy....

17 weeks and counting

I am now 17 weeks. I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. We should find out in the next two weeks what we are having BOY or GIRL. Before we got pregnant in April, I had a dream that we were introducing a boy named Harper Caid Ferrell. We have liked the name Harper since we started having children, but just kept it locked away for a boy! Caid is my husbands middle name and we want to carry his name some how. So, we will just have to see....If its a girl her name will be Hattie Pearl Ferrell. Hattie was my dads grandmother, so my great grand mother. Hattie and my great grandfather Ottis Ponder raised my dad, so we thought it would be appropriate to name her Hattie. Pearl, is my husbands great grandmothers name. She was a jewish singer!

Happy Month of June!

Well, May came and went pretty fast around here. We were very busy with life! We took a small trip to Illinois for Jakes great grandmothers 89th bday. We also ministered at two churches while in town, Little Chapel and Mercy Gate. Awesome people and awesome churches!
We ended the month with celebrating my birthday and having a great memorial day weekend! Props to my husband for surprising me with a new camera, a Nikon D5000 with an extra zoom lense. He saved money without me knowing!
We just booked our trip to Florida the end of June. We will be home from June 24-29th! Praise the Lord, I can't wait to go home! Our main purpose in going is celebrating my 10 year reunion....CRAZY! I can't believe it...

We are doing well, the fam is well! Ta and Kam are getting bigger and wiser...
I am 10 weeks along and can't wait to get out of this first trimester! It has been a doosie for me!

Baby #3

Yes...you read the post right...! Baby #3 is on the way. I am currently 5-6 weeks pregnant. So, our due date is January 2, 2011! We are super excited!
Jake and I went out for our anniversary at The Capital Grill...(amazing steaks!) I had just found out that we were expecting #3 so, I wanted to surprise him at the restaurant. I went to the store earlier that day and bought 3 Musketeers Bars..his favorite and also a little hint! I taped the tests to the back on the 3 Musketeers Bars. I had him open them before dinner and at first he thought "this is lame," until he felt the back of the Musketeers Bars...as soon as he flipped them over he said "NO WAY!"
Jake and I decided to tell our girls on Sunday, two days after we found out....along with my mom. So, we went and bought a cake and had them write "Big Sisters" on the cake...we set up the video camera and my mom, Kamdyn and Taylor were waiting for the cake...When we set it on the table my mom says "Oh Big Sisters Day!" We laughed and said noooooo......it took her a few minutes to get it...but when she did she was surprised!
Now, some of you are hoping Jake gets a boy this time! We are super excited with what ever it is...but this is the first time that we have a boy name and not a girl name...If its a girl, we have a lot of name searching to do!

Kamdyn turned 1 today! I can't believe how fast this past year has gone....
We are celebrating Kamdyns bday on Sunday but, as a family we went out to dinner and had ice cream....well Kamdyn didn't have ice cream...She will have cake on Sunday..!
She is growing like a weed...well kinda! She loves getting into everything. She's walking and falling, walking and falling and walking and falling!
She loves to play with Ta and loves to wrestle!
She has 8 teeth! 4 at the top and 4 at the bottom. She starting to talk more and loves to say new words! She holds the phone to her ear and says "Hi dada."
She is such a cuddly baby but has a very fiery spirit....I mean fiery!
She is such a joy and I love watching her grow! Kamdyn, we love you and Happy Birthday!

3 years ago today, we welcomed our 1st daughter Taylor Renee Ferrell into this world! I was 1 week over due. We were watching the college basketball finals. Florida and Ohio were playing and of course Florida won! I went into labor right after the game was over and after 14 hours of labor, she was born April 1, 2007, 7lbs 9ozs 20.5 inches long. She was perfect.
Jacob and I loved the name Taylor from the start. We discovered that it meant "persistence." Her middle name is my middle name Renee and its also my moms middle name. Renee means "reborn." So, her name means "Persistence Reborn." If you know Taylor we named her right!
She is a joy and a delight. She loves playing dress up, playing dolls, singing with her guitar and playing the piano. She loves to pretend, read books and make friends (it sounds like I'm writing a date add!) She will start ballet/tap dance classes this Saturday April 3. Taylor, your mommy, daddy and Kami Rue love you so much and we can't believe you are 3! Happy Birthday beautiful!

Wow, its been a month since my last blog! I can't believe it.....I guess that just shows how busy we've been this month...
First, Jake went to Alabama at the beginning of the month. The second weekend he went to Nashville and last weekend we went to Austin....and this weekend we are celebrating Taylor's 3rd birthday! Yes...I know I can't believe it either...Ta will be 3 (April 1st, Palm Sunday)...OH MY WORD...time does fly...
Were having 25 people over for her party...! Its an outdoor party...food, fun and topping it off with dying Easter eggs. This should be interesting (dying eggs) with 14 children under the age of 7! Thats why the party is outside...
I have once again risen to the occasion and I am making Ta a "pink" cake...I will post pictures after its made...My husband came up with a brillant idea..in saving money...we were going to grill out but instead we are having a baked potato bar. He's always trying to find ways to save, save, save (were saving for some acres... land)! We're also having fruit and chips and (pioneer womens) salsa. I'm so excited for Ta and she is excited for her friends to come over...
Kamdyn, will be 1 on April 12 (Resurrection Sunday!) Two April babies, 1 day of rememberance and an anniversary..a lot happens in April too... I can't believe it has been a year already.....Wow time flyes..I think I've said that already. Kam, now can say "hi dadda", take a few steps, hold a "fake" cell phone up to her ear and say "hi" and crawl out of about anything and everything! She crawls out of her saucer, which doesn't help when, I'm trying to fix dinner....She loves people and is very social.
I will post pictures soon from all events this past month and birthday...etc etc

We are doing well.
Jake leaves this weekend for a trip to Auburn University. He will be ministering with Justin Rizzo. Please pray for a fruitful trip and safe travels.
My mom is coming this weekend for a visit! I am so excited...Pray for her as well she has a job interview this weekend at a church in Chillicothe, Missouri...yeps its 90 miles north east of KC. Perfect...I know!
The snow is almost melted here. Its been a brutal winter. I can't remember the last time it didn't snow or the last day that the sun was shinning, Not like Florida or South Carolina at all...!! But from what I've heard this has been one of the worst winters for KC since the 60s !?!
The kids are doing well.
Ta, is growing like a weed, we had to get her a few new pairs of pants because she grew out of 2T. It makes me a little sad.....She starting to say the funnest things too...Somethings I can't post but others I can. I am keeping a journal of the things that she says so she can have it when she gets older! We are currently working on letter sounds, she knows her alphabet and can recognize most letters. She is doing well!

Kam, is so cute and also growing like a weed....(not really) she is so tiny! Ta was the same way...She is currently getting her two eye teeth..Fun! Let me repeat...FUN...espically at night.. She also loves to wave, is almost walking and loves to climb the stairs...fast! She not sleeping through the night but she does take two good naps almost everyday!

Me, I'm doing well. My business is going really well. I have some really important clients that buy each week. My ETSY is starting to pick up. I've had 12 sales in 1 month through ETSY! The KC Organic Market will resume in May..so I will be busy with that....! But the main thing is my heart is alive. I have an awesome moms group...we're on a 12 week endtimes study right now!

So, all in all the family is doing well!

I actually like Valentines day, I always have. I love buying gifts for people so I always loved giving cards, flowers and candy to the people I love!
So, this year I surprised Jacob with a brand new Mac book Pro 13in screen with all the perks! He was so shocked.....and speechless!
Ta and daddy went to a Valentines day dance last night. She had so much fun...Kamdyn is a little to young to go this year...maybe next year. Taylor, had such a good time...she was so tired when she got home.

Wow! I just made an amazing quick bread called Barley Bread. Its a no yeast bread and all together it took about an hour to make and to bake. Fresh ground barley is so good for you. So, many of you know I have started to take up baking. Well not really, we started in 2007, grinding our own fresh grain into flour...and baking and now, it keeps growing and growing! I just started an ETSY, which many of you know already www.thedailygrain.etsy.com. It is doing well. I am loving it!
The market last summer was a test run for us and it went so well. Every week we were selling out of our mixes. People would come back the following week, just to buy our products!
I just finished up vamping and perfecting our Organic Cinnamon Rolls (no white flour or white sugar!) They are absolutely amazing....Seriously! See the picture.

We were also featured on another blog, www.eagerhands.blogspot.com. She bought our Ezekiel bread mix and loved it so much she decided to blog about it. She also, has an ETSY shop, where she sells handmade and vintage items. Great and awesome ETSY shop, www.eagerhands.etsy.com. Please check it out!

On a side note, everyone is doing well.
Taylor, will be 3 in two months! I can't believe it. She told me today, "mommy, your old!" First, I laughed and than I wanted to cry! Wow, the time really does go by fast.
Kamdyn, is doing well. She is now cutting her eye teeth. Last night she slept on me for most of the night. She needed a little comfort from mommy! Funny thing that happened, Ta ran over Kam's fingers with a little toy train, Kam started to cry and than she hit Ta in the face. Now, I wouldn't normally allow that to happen but Kamdyn's only 9 1/2 months and Ta...well she deserved it, because it wasn't an accident! I could see each others personalities coming out...and it made me laugh out loud.
Jake, is doing well. He is very busy with trips these next few months. Between Onething Conferences and his own IHOP ministry trips he's a traveling machine.
All in all the Ferrells are doing well!

Yes, I realize it has been 3 weeks since the last post. We are busy little bees around here!
1. Kamdyn, turned 9 months. She has two teeth at the bottom, stands on her own with out holding on to anything and is starting to sleep really well at night. I have to admit I am not excited that she is standing, before we know it she will be walking. She is trying to keep up with her big sister.
2. Taylor, is fast approaching 3...I can't believe it! We think she had a giant growth spurt this past month. All of a sudden all of her 3t clothes are starting to fit pretty well. Nana bought the Memory Game and we try and play it a few times a week. She is doing very well at it. She is such a big girl!
3. Jake, is doing well. He starts school again on the 18th. He will finish in August! He was also asked to begin the process of worship leading again! Which he loves. We were waiting for the opportunity to open up and it has. Worship Leading is one of the many gifts he has! He also, starts teaching this week at FMA. He is coaching two classes a week. So, as you can see he is busy.
4. Me, I am doing well. I feel as if I am settled again with being a stay at home mom. Every once in a while I get in a rut and just need a little motivation! I'm doing more with The Daily Grain, my company. I just started an ETSY, www.thedailygrain.etsy.com. So, I'm working on that and I just finished recovering a 1974 yellow/green velvet chair, white. I think I actually did a really good job!

So, The Ferrell Family is all in all doing well! I know I haven't posted pictures in a long time! I do get a little weary about posting so many pictures, with so many strangers out there.....
