Summer is gone!
We had a great summer. We started off with a great vacation to Orlando in June. We visited Legoland and just had a nice relaxing time. We spent lots of Fridays and Saturdays down in Charleston at the beach. We made many trips to the Columbia Zoo. We had a visit from nana and just enjoyed our time as a family!
We made a huge change this year, through lots of prays, our two oldest girls started school today. They're attending a great private christian school here and we couldn't be more pleased. They were so excited today and almost couldn't contain their excitement. Jake and I, on the other hand, had a very difficult time with it. I spent most of the night crying, yes, I did. I can't imagine college and Jake spent the day at work moping around. They came home so excited and had such a great time. I'm so thankful! Just so thankful!
Our two youngest are still at home, of course. So, they're also transitioning. Harp, kept saying today "I think I hear Tay and Kamy." Made me sad. But its good. We had a great time reading books, playing, shopping and just hanging out together.
Well, when you read this, pray for us. Its a big decision and one that we didn't just take lightly.

We're alive and well!
I promise, we're alive and well, just busy!
The kids are doing well. We are about to finish up our second year homeschooling. Tay, is technically in first but she's been doing 2nd grade, this year and Kamy, is technically not kindergarten but she's been doing kindergarten all year. We are embarking on a new journey this coming 2014-2015, the two girls will go to a private christian school. We are super excited for them and they are super excited as well. We felt like it was time for them to go and I know they'll love it! Its sad but happy all at the same time!
Harper's doing well. He just finished up his first season playing soccer. Kamy, also had her first season. Tay, started in February. So, yes 3 in soccer at the same time, was crazy! But anyway Harp did well. He literally ran around in a little pack with the other kids. It was super cute and made him really tired!
Landri, she's getting big! She loves purses, necklaces, bows and anything thats girly! She's started to talk more, saying words or repeating words we say. So cute!
We had a great weekend, we spend all day yesterday at the zoo. We hadn't been since our oldest daughter was 2! So, it was fun and everyone was exhausted!

Much updating!
I just laughed out loud, at how long and how much has changed since the last blog post.
#1. We've moved! We took a job back in October, in South Carolina. So, we now live in the beautiful state of South Carolina. Jake, is the worship pastor at FBC-Sumter and we are so completely honored! The Lord is good, to us!
#2. Landri, turned 1, November 26. I can't believe it! The year went by so fast. We had a small party for her at our new house. We invited several other little 1 year old girls. It was fun!
#3. Harper, turned 3, January 5. I can't believe he's 3. He's such a talker, its amazing! He loves, trucks, trains, planes and anything and everything that makes noise. He loves to play outside and to help me cook! He loves eating.
#4 and #5 Taylor and Kamdyn, will turn 7 and 5 this year. Taylor, just started soccer. She's in love! Kamdyn, will get her ears pierced for her 5th birthday. I can't believe these girls are growing up!
#6. Jake and Lacy, are doing so well! We absolutely love it here. The Lord is so good to us. Jake's started graduate school. Yah! Closer to the Dr! Ha! I just got back into photography after moving. Its my love and passion outside of my family and Jesus. I love seeing people through my lense, how Jesus looks at them. Hopefully, the next blog won't take as long!

Unforgetable Story
On Sunday, I normally do our grocery shopping, after church. So, we (all) went, to whole foods to eat lunch and than I would shop. Normally, we do not ALL go!
We got our food and Jake was checking out. I went to get the kids water and sent them to a seat. While I was getting water, a lady stopped me and said "I'm a kindergarten teacher and your kids are so well behaved!" I told her "Wow, that means a lot to me." Not even two seconds later, I turn around to Harper pulling down the fire alarm. Holy cow. I remember trying to put it back up, to see if it would turn off! Whole Foods, on a Sunday it completely packed. At least 500 people in the store. Over the intercom "everyone needs to evacuate, to the nearest exit." People are everywhere, leaving carts, leaving food at check outs....all because of Harper! We walked out of the doors and could hear the fire trucks coming! We literally, didn't stop, just kept walking to the van. I still could not believe it happened. Just a few months ago, Kamdyn knocked over a huge display at the Broward County College Library, which is packed with people. I'm now going to a different library and will have to do the same with Whole Foods!

September
Here we are, September. I can't believe it.
Landri Rose will be 1 in two months. How is that even possible. She's moving chairs around and not sleeping through the night!
We accomplished a few milestones this month. Kamy Rue, learned to ride her bike with out training wheels. We took them off in 1 day and she was riding by the end. I can't believe our 4 1/2 year old is riding her bike. She also, started swimming last month. I asked her to take her floats off, she did and swam from one end of the pool to the other!
Ta Renee, is getting big! She's tackling 2nd grade work, at the age of a 1st grader.
Harper Caid, he's huge, tall! He says 12 word sentences. He looks like his daddy with blonde hair.
We as a family, will travel to NC next week! Jake, is laying down his vocals finally, for his second album! Hopefully, it will be out by the end of this year!

5 months?
I can't believe its been 5 full months since my last blog! Time has flown by.
We are well. We've been in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for a year.
Taylor, is 6. She turned 6 in April. She's fully reading at a 3rd grade level. She loves to sing and read her bible. Every night, she wants to read her bible in bed. She's a go getter for sure. She's lost two bottom teeth and has grown a few inches
Kamdyn, is 4. She turned 4 in April. She's spelling and is reading basic words. She can swim with out a float. One night we told her, we would give her a full bowl of chocolate chips if she took her vest off to swim. Sure enough she took it off and swam across the pool, long ways! She's getting big!
Harper, he's 2 1/2. He is all boy. He eats us out of our house, already! I bought him a soft baseball bat and ball. He hasn't put it down. He is currently sleeping with it, in his big boy bed! We made the switch from crib to big boy bed in June. He loves it! He's also almost fully potty trained.
Landri, is 8 months! WOW! I can't believe she's already that big. She's crawling, pulling herself up, eating food. Tonight, she almost put her leg up on the second stair. She has yet to sleep through the night! She's the baby for sure.
Jake and I are doing well. Jake, is almost done recording his 2nd album. Just a few more "layers" and he will be finished. It should be out by Christmas. My photography business, has picked back up since moving. We're busy as always with 4 kids.

Its been too long!
Now, I have so much time on my hands during the day to keep up with this blog. Not really!
We're doing well. Loving life in Florida.
Kids are doing well. Taylor, is 5 almost 6. She's a year a head in school. So, she currently doing 1st grade instead of kindergarden. She's excelling at reading and writing. She loves to help with Landri. She loves riding her bike and playing.
Kamdyn, read her first real book yesterday. Yes, she is 3 almost 4. We've been working on sounding out words and putting them together. She's doing well with helping me with Landri.
Harper, well he's a boy. He loves dirt, loves cars, trains and trucks! He's already eating us out of our house. We're working on our colors. He's doing well. So far, he has the color blue down.
Landri, is doing well. She's sleeping, eating and growing. Her sisters and brother love her so much! She's in the 90% in weight and height. She giggled for the first time yesterday.
Jake, is recording his 2nd album starting in April. He's super excited. He'll be recording it at a studio in North Carolina. The same studio that he used for his 1st cd.
Me, I'm good. Trying to juggle 4 children. Someone once said that 3 child is dreading water and 4 children is sinking! Ha, I believe it. I enjoy them all but its overwhelming at times. So, pray for us!

Happy New Year!
Better late then never! Happy New Year.
We are doing well. Landri, is such a beautiful baby. Perfect, yes. She's a good sleeper. At night time she sleeps about 6 hours. During the day she's nursing about every 3 hours. She can sleep through everything! I guess as #4 you have to survive!
Taylor, is loving life. Doing well in home school. She is thriving, doing a 1st grade and she's 5 1/2.
Kamdyn, is becoming such a sweet little girl. She has such a sweet spirit. She's thriving in home school as well (preschool). She's almost reading. She's spelling and sounding out words and she's 3 1/2!
Harper, just turned 2 on Saturday January 5! I can't believe this little boy is 2! He's into everything and loves to pester his little sister, Landri. He's a sweet boy. He's in love with trains, trucks and bob the builder. For his birthday, we took the kids to monkey joes and celebrated with a train cake. He got a ride on buzz car, which he loves driving around!
Jake and I are doing well. Jake, is working on a getting a new CD together. He's hoping to record at some point during 2013. Me, having 4 children is an adjustment! Its wonderful, crazy and I would never change it. Our church, NorthStar Fort Lauderdale, is awesome. The Lord has awesome plans for the people of Fort Lauderdale! When you remember, praying for us, our church and our family!

Landri Rose Ferrell is HERE!
Landri Rose is finally here!
Well, she's actually almost a month old already.
She was born on Monday November 26, 2012 at 10:56am. She weighted a whopping 9lbs 8oz and was 20inches long.
I got out of bed around 4:30am with terrible hip pain. No contractions just hip pain. I started to walk around and than I decided to get in the bath tub. Nothing was happening so, I just relaxed in the tub. At 6:30am I started to have contractions 3 mins apart. I woke Jake up and told him to call our midwife, we were having a home birth. She was coming from Miami (30mins) and I didn't want her to get stuck in morning rush hour traffic. She arrived at 8am.
My best friend came and picked up Taylor, Kamdyn and Harper and took them to her house at 8:30am. We blew up the birthing tub and I finally got in it at 9:30am. Landri arrived at 10:56am. My first thought was wow, she's huge and my second thought was wow, that was the most painful birth I've ever had! My midwife said that the bigger the baby, the more pain and she was right. After having 3 out of 4 without medication, I can attest to that!
She was absolutely gorgeous dark hair, dark skin. Her chubby cheeks and perfect little pucker lips!
I love home births and everything that comes with them. I love the one on one time that is giving right after birth. No cutting the cord, not bothering the baby, not weighing. Just the mom and baby bonding time. Its incredible!
So, in saying all of that, the midwife did her check on Landri after about 2 hours and noticed she was having mild breathing distress. Landri, did have merconium (dark poop) at birth. So, the midwifes concern was she might have breathed in some merconium. She pumped Landri's stomach and there was a little merconium in her stomach. She also listened to her lungs and noticed that the right lung sounded a little fuzzy. So, our midwife suggested that we call our pedi. We were able to see our pedi at 6:00pm, Monday night. She than sent us up to the NICU, as a precaution. So, we were admitted on Monday night. It was honestly the scariest moments. Jake and I cried, balled and cried some more. After 24 hours Landri was fine and healthy! I stayed in a chair right by her, slept in a chair and never saw the outside world, until we went home on Saturday! It was a great bonding time for my little girl and I.
Sometimes things don't go as planned. But I am grateful for the home birth. If we birthed at the hospital and all of this happened, we would have never bonded. Landri, would have been whisked away. But I am grateful for the medical staff and the Neonatal Dr. they were awesome!
Our Landri girl is now getting a good dose of being the baby to 3 older siblings!

Family update!
Well, here we are in October!
I can't believe it. We are adjusting well to life in Fort Lauderdale. The only thing I will not get use to is the traffic! So much traffic. Going 5 miles can take up to 20 mins!
Taylor's, doing well! She's a 5 year old in 1st grade. She loves homeschool. Actually, she is thriving.
Kamdyn's, doing well! She has officially started reading. Yes, 3 1/2 and she reading not memorizing but actually sounding out words.
Harper's, doing well. He enjoys destroying everything in sight! He's learning his letters!
Landri, is growing inside my belly. I've been measuring 2 weeks ahead since our ultra sound in July. So, I'm 33 1/2 weeks measuring 35 1/2 weeks.
That's about it!

We are officially Florida residents. We switched our drivers licenses over. They were able to look me up from 7 years ago! We are completely moved into our rental. We've decided to rent for a year to get a feel for Fort Lauderdale. We are taking our time this time around.
Today, Taylor starts her first official day of our homeschool coop. We meet once a week at the local library. She is taking 3 classes. Speech, science and creative movement. She very excited and hasn't stopped talking all morning.
Kamdyn, is also homeschooled but preschool. She's doing really well and I know she will be completely reading by 4.
Harper, is all boy. Jake, gave him a buzz cut. He still has hair but now he really looks like a little boy. He acts like one as well. Totally different from the girls!
Our church North Star is doing well. We love it and the support is amazing. I can honestly say we've never had this kind of community and support ever! The people here are amazing and our neighbors are so kind. I love being in my home state of Florida!

KC residents no more.
Tonight, is officially our last night as Kansas City residents. We sold our home 2 weeks ago and have stayed in an apartment for the last two weeks so Jake could finish out his job. On a side note, I am very thankful to Jakes cousin who owns the apartment complex but I'm glad it's not a permenant place for us! 3 kids in an apartment is crazy!!
We leave tomorrow for our new adventure. We've prayed for an adventure and the Lord answered! We're going to miss our friends and family here in KC.
We are super excited to partner with amazing people in Fort Lauderdale.

Boy or Girl?
On Friday, we scheduled an ultrasound for our 4th child. I'm about 23-24 weeks now, so it was about time!
We decided at first not to find out what we were having and wait until the baby was born.
But, I guess I'm just so antsy and I really have to know. We decided that we wouldn't find out at the ultrasound. But we would have them put it in an envelope and we would have a friend bake us a cake.
So, we dropped the envelope at our friends house. She got busy with the cake. Jake and I went out to dinner at our favorite place. After, dinner the cake was done. So, we brought the cake back to our temporary residence. My mom was watching the kids and we walked in and said "our friends wanted to bake us a cake, as a going away present."
We had my mom and the girls cut the cake. Before, they even got the piece cut a very small piece came out and we knew the color right away. Jake, kept saying "no way!" I think he was way more surprised than I was. I had a feeling it was a what it was!
But we both still couldn't believe it.
My mom keep saying what does this mean. Ha! She had no idea. It was really funny!
So, we announced that our 4th child will be a
Her name will be Landri Rose Ferrell.
A few little facts about our family. We all have "a's" as our second letter. All 4 kids have 6 letters in their name. Taylor, carries on my middle name Renee, Kamdyn, carries on a great aunt's middle on Jake's side, Ruth and Landri will carrie on a great aunt on my side, Rose. So, they all have "R's". Harper, carries on Jake's middle name Caid.

Wanting to remember
I'm laying awake tonight, pondering everything that happened and changed today. We officially closed on our first family home. We handed our set of keys over to another awesome family!
The movers came around 9:30am and were done by 3:00pm.
The kids rode their bike and played in the pool for the last time. Jacob and I walked through our home, together, one last time. I balled like a baby. We thanked Jesus for the wonderful time spent and all the wonderful memories we shared in our home. I looked in each room, thinking about the kids. Looked at the kitchen, playroom and backyard. What an awesome first family home, for us. Our wonderful neighbors stopped by, cried and thanked us for being such good neighbors. After, we finished we loaded our van and headed away. The girls waved, saying goodbye. Our oldest daughter cried, hard. Our youngest daughter, said she was excited and the man child was do sleepy, he had no ideas what was gOing on. It was very sad, but we are super excited for this new adventure the Lord has for us.
Pray for us. Pray for our new family at North Star Community in Fort Lauderdale. Pray for a smooth transition.
Thank you KC and the house of prayer for loving us well, for me 7 years and for Jacob 11.
Here's to a new season and journey with our little family!

Major Change
I've been waiting to write this blog post for sometime. I will try and keep it simple and as short as possible!
We are moving!
We are moving to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
In March, of this year. I went to visit my best friend for her 30th birthday. It had been about 10 years since we've been together, for a weekend. We had such a blast and she informed me that the church that her and her husband pastor, was on the hunt for a worship pastor. Well, we'd been praying for the Lord to send us or settle us here in Kansas City. So, long story short. We pursued the job and landed the job back in May.
We still had a house to sell here in Kansas City. We put our house on the market on June 1 and it sold June 17th. It was the fastest sale our realtor has ever had in all her years of realty! We close July 13th and slowly make our way to Florida, August 1st.
Its very bitter sweet for our family. We are super excited for this change but sad to leave friends and people that we consider family. I think the hardest part is closing the door on our first family home. We had no idea, that when we bought it, we would be moving! All the memories we have.
The girls became sisters, sharing a room and playing together.
Harper, was born in our room. We've watched them grow together and we've become a family. Taylor, learned to ride her bike outside on the driveway. Kamdyn and Harper both took their first steps in the sun room! We've become friends with our amazing neighbors. Jacob and I first fell in love in Kansas City! The best time of year is the fall and spring.
I could go on and on.
So, we had a photo shoot with an amazing story telling photographer this week. She documented us, being us in our first home. I did cry!
We are excited for our new adventure as a family and I've super excited to come "home" to Florida!

New things!
Just a few things happening around our home this week.
1st, Taylor (5) can now ride her bike without training wheels. Her daddy took her out twice and she just started doing it on her own. She said "I can do this, I can do this!" And she did!
2nd, Kamdyn starts ballet tomorrow. She's been asking to start and we've been waiting for the next 3-4 year old class to start. She is so excited! Tonight we took her to buy her outfit and ballet shoes. So..so cute! I can't wait to capture it on video.
3rd, Harper's new word is "car!" Every time he sees a car he says "car" with much force. Its really cute!
4th, baby #4. I'm 17 weeks. Can't believe it. We are not finding out what we are having, this time. Kinda fun!
